hi,
when i enter dates to query lease payments due between specific dates the form gives error.
FRM-40831 Truncation occured.value too long for field Payment Date.
how to increase the length of the field? Any help.

There is no supported way of doing this. You would have to modify the form, which is something I would not recommend. If you do, you will loose support for anything that happens as a consequence and you will have to do the modification again whenever any patch or upgrade contains a newer version of the form.
May I suggest changing the date format to something short such as YYYY-MM-DD instead?

If you get the error while entering dates such as '06-03-16', I suggest you log a service request with Oracle. But before you do so, search on Metalink for bugs and errors involving the form and error in question.
