Hi,

I am using pga_aggregate_target parameter and management=auto.
Does it mean that I do not need sort_area_size and hash_are_size in my pfile (spfile)? Oracle 9.2.0.5.
What happen if i have sort_area_size and pga_aggregat_target in pfile?

When the pga_aggregate_target parameter is set and you are using dedicated Oracle connections, Oracle9i will ignore all of the PGA parameters in the init.ora file, including sort_area_size and sort_area_retained_size.
