Translationg Forms to French Language
Hi,
We have some custom Oracle Apps Forms in English that we are tanslating into French ( Boilerplate text etc) using Oracle Translation Builder Tool
This works fine but the Big Issue is when we open the form from the application some of the column prompts and text on the layout overlaps
I guess this is happening as some of the French Equivalent Text are longer than the corresponding English Text.
What is the best way to resolve this
Is changing the text item's width and height only solution to this problem ?? or is their some better way to resolve this
Early Response Appreciated
..Nitin

Basically, either you design your form to leave plenty of space around your prompts and block text or you work with all language versions and design for the longest text (or shrink the text). You could go to a smaller font (narrower but shorter).
Depending on where you have the origin of your prompt determines whether the prompt grows 'to the left' or 'to the right and under the text field'.
