Hello,

our oracle server had a abnormal power down. after this event, we have some problems with the database instance:

if i start the services of the database, i get the error, that there are some errors during starting the enterprise manager console. if the oracle service and the em console service are simultaneously running, i got an timeout by reaching the em in a browser. if the em is stopt (and i have to restart the db instance), the database is available for the rman and for example the tora application.
all other applications like sql plus or a connection over jdbc got an time out.

has anyone an idea?

Did you see any error in alert.log? Did you have some files with any warnings in bdump, udump, cdump directories?
