Hi all admins,

I would like to know where to find dead locks occur in my system. From alert.log? What is the exact message error will occur in alert log if dead locks occur?

Another question, if there is an dead lock, where to check it is belongs to which table and which user accessing it?

Thanks in advance!

Ok, thanks a lot. It is very much appreciated.

Dead locks will resolve automatically by Oracle right? Admins do not need to kill the user sessions which are holding the table.

Correct me if i'm wrong. Thanks!

Right. Oracle will detect deadlocks automatically and rollback some transactions to prevent them from becoming deadly embraced.
