We have Sun 3510 hardware for 3 SUN machines, A, B and C. A is
directly connected to a pair of 3510’s and B and C connect through a pair of Qlogic switches and then to two pair of 3510’s (two pair for each server). The software is Sun San Foundation version 1, and Sun SAN Manager. We use Veritas Volume Manager to create disk groups and volumes, and then finally, UNIX commands to create file systems on those volumes. On this SAN, we have Oracle db's.

We bought a couple of IBM p5's AIX 5.3., which cannot talk to the older 3510's SAN directly. We intend to use NFS to get to the SAN. Has anybody done this? NFS on top of SAN? It may be slow but for test db's may be it's ok.... thanks.
