Hello,

I want to create a database in which i want to store english and spanish words. Please can i know the database creation or server installation procedure for unicode support.

i have a database with character set 'WE8ISO8859P1'. Can i store spanish words in it. If not, what is the procedure for converting myy current database to unicode database which supports spanish.

hi,

well i think You have to read some thing on , National Language Support (NLS), i think(ie not sure) with chracter set WE8ISO8859P1 you can store data in spanish and english in database, but u have to set some parameter in parameter file related to NLS
Note :- there are many parameter related to NLS right now i dont remember which exactly you have to set.

So i recommend you to study regarding NLS

Note i am not 100% sure about by answer ...

UTF8 will definitely support this ..
