Hi,

I have created an account call test on Oracle10g..I just gave it create table and alter table previleges and of course the select_catalogue_role and select any dictionary previleges..the thing I don't understand is how come I still can drop the table even though I didn't give that previliges. Could some tell me what am I to do if I don't want to allow the user to drop the table but just create and alter.

someone please help

As i remember if you have the "create table" privilege then you can also drop those tables.

No need to explicitly grant "drop table" privilege.

Topic still open for discussions.

Yeah I know but this case is that I don't want the user to drop the table but thats impossible to prevent rite..? I know that base on the select_catalogue_role allows the table to be drop but I don't want that to be done.
