I am confused with the database character set and the client character set. If database character set is used to determine which characters can be stored and interpreted in the database, how about the client character set?
If client is using english windows and have installed east asian supplementary languages, is the client character set can be set to JA16SJIS?
Do not set the same character set for database and client, is that true? why?
