Good morning,

I have created a custom database using the assistant and everything worked fine until I reached the final step which is: Change Passwords.

I have to set the passwords for SYS and System users. The problem is, when I try to do so, I hit this problem:

ora-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied

Now I can't exit that screen until I can put something into that screen and I don;t have a clue what I should do.

I've read some documents on AskTom (link below):
http://asktom.oracle.com/pls/ask/f?p=4950:8:12094095653975334840::NO::F4950_P8_DISPLAYID,F4950_P8_CRITERIA:940042518290

But I'm not too sure if this is related.

It's the last step. Big deception here.

delete the password file pwd<sid>.ora and recreate it using the orapwd utility.
