Can I Install 2 copies of same version Oracle (here 9.2.0.6) on UNIX Server(HP-UX) on different mount points, say /u01 and /u02?

What I am planning to do is, When I patch Oracle /u02, I want to run all my database on /u01 and when I am patching Oracle under /u02 I want to run all databases on /u01, is this possible? Basically I will have 2 ORACLE_HOME s same version and release on same unix server different mount points. Please let me know if this is possible
Thank you,

Yes, you can have two installations. Just try to have different profiles and reference the appropriate profile.

Hope that helps!

The Profile file in your home directory is a collection of shell commands that are executed whenever you login. Commonly, the Profile file is used to set environment variables and shell options. You can also put command aliases in your Profile file, but it's better to put them in a separate file -- commonly called .env (which is pronounced: dot-e-n-v)-- that you define and execute in your Profile (which is pronounced: dot-profile).

You can set a new profile or
just set new ORACLE_SID,ORACLE_HOME,ORACLE_BASE etc.
