Every time I do an install I have to spend 2 hours in the cold noisy computer room.

Well I just found a better way, most of you probably already knew this.

On XP box in my office, bring up ssh. Log on to Solaris server under the user that will own the software.
then start an xserver like eXcursion on XP box
Do export DISPLAY=<ip>:0.0
then xhost +

then in the ssh window key in xterm.
Find the runInstaller and run it.

It takes longer but gets you out of the noisy cold computer room.

VNC is another avenue. It's cross-platform and open source. I use this often so I can start something from work then check on it from home.
