I have installed Oracle 10g for Windows XP Professional. I was able to create a database instance. The registry was not updated. How do I edit the registry.

hi,
Why do you want to update registry
if you have one Database then no need to temper registry of window
you can set sid from command prompt
D:\oraclenew\product\10.1.0\Db_2\BIN>set oracle_sid=orcl
I hope orcl is your sid (Database name) if orcl is not your database name then put that database name which you had created in place of orcl in above command.
