I've tried to create a partition table on Oracle10.2g, a Standard Edition. I start the Oracle installer again and check Oracle Partitioning. Then shutdown and re-startup db. I can't still create a partition table. Need I set any other environments, such as Initialization Parameters...???

There is no initialization parameter to enable partitioning. However, it's only available with Oracle Enterprise Edition - not with Standard Edition.

Best regards.

Thanks so much, Frank.
When I created a partition table, I got ORA-00439: feature not enabled:Partitioning.
These occurs on Standard Edition with additional install "the Partition feature" (After Standard Edt installing, I call OUI again to setup the partitioning feature)
I would like to use Standard Edition with the partitioning. Can I??

In simple English

1. Partitioned table can ONLY be created if you have installed Enterprise Edition of Oracle. Not available in Standard Edition.
2. There are NO setttings to create partitioned tables (just like you do not need any settings to create a table).
