Hi,
To Create a Purchas Order you need to be defined as Buyer as well as employee. You need to Tie up this employee name to your user_id in user Definition Screen.
You can create Requisition even though if you are not defined as an employee. A Requestor is one who raises requests on behalf of Buyer. Anybody can raise Requisitions and it's up to the Buyer to approve and procure the goods at right time.
Steps to be followed:
To Setup as Employee:
Purchasing super user: setup>Personnel> Employees.
If hrms is installed, then you need to get into Hrms module and define yourself as an employee.
Next step u need to do is setup urself as a buyer as well.
setup>personnel>Buyers> New Buyer and add entry for ur self.
Now you will be able to raise PO's
