Hello please helpme:

(Excuse me for my english). I working with oracle 9i, tha link with my web page work fine, the list display all information fron database, but when I enable my firewall, the system display ORA-12541: TNS:no listener
Wath can I do for disable or change de port 1521. I thing this is tha problem. If you speak spanich please tellme in spanich tank yuo.

Did you try use_shared_socket=true ?

I visit today this link http://www.orafaq.com/forum/t/51214/, but the error continue, I use USE_SHARED_SOCKET in my registre key with TRUE, and other steps describe in this site, but the problem continue. I Test from LAN with tnsping, netstat, etc but the error persist.

After Enabling your firewall, can you
ping your server from the client? Else talk to your Sysadmin/network admin.

Hi
You can do "TELNET ServerName 1521" from teh client.
If its giving Connection refused..The firewall is blocking your reuest.
If u r getting a blank screen with cursor blinking , you can make sure that firewall is not problematic
