I am establishing a form with oracle to create a new entity.

the value of one attribute of that entity will be displayed in the drop down list box coming from a table.

The default value (null) with 'selected' is asked to display at the top of the drop down list box.

thanks advance

Build your record group using the standard select for the data using a third column for sorting and UNION that data select with a NULL, NULL, '1' from DUAL select. ORDER it by 3,1

I expect that you have moved on from this problem but I saw this entry in metalink today and I want to have the reference to it as part of a meaningful thread.
