hi,

hey you can migrate 8i to 10g by Exp & imp utility.... just insatall 10g on new server where you want to migrate 8i data then simply do export from 8i and import to 10g.
Now question arises what you want to export ?
well you can export whole database ....
But it will be better if you export all schema seperatly and then import it one bye one on 10g...( It is time consuming but effective).

Export and import utility which you will use must be compatible with each other ...Smile

Sunil,
Export / Import will not always work.
If your database has simple data, it will.
If you are using something like Intermedia etc, there is a lot of changes internally and your data needs to migrated through the procedure.
Many features may be added and deprecated with each release.
And what happens to your code?
Export / import will not touch it.
I strongly recomend going through the upgrade document suggested by Tarun. Only after a good analysis you should decide on the method.
