Hi,

Does anyone know if I need to get an Oracle licence to install the Oracle database server on a test environment?

This install will be used by our test team before an application is rolled out into prod.

Thanks.

From the main Oracle downloads page -
All software downloads are free, and each comes with a development license that allows you to use full versions of the products only while developing and prototyping your applications. With the dev license at http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/htdocs/devlic.html

Or, if it's a small app, you could download Oracle Express from http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/xe/index.html
