Hi,
We recently recreated a database as a clone of another using the datafile copy/controlfile recreate method. Unfortunately the original database included an additional tablespace that it now transpires we'd like to have access to in the new, cloned database. I have the datafile; is there any way of adding the tablespace and retain the data in the original datafile?

In my opinion, the only thing possible now is that either you create a new clone with all datafiles duly specified (this'll require creating new controlfile as well) or else, try making use of transportable tablespaces (export tablespace from your master database & import it in the already cloned database.
