I have a problem on a brand new instance - ora 9.2.0.7.
SQL> drop user perry_rr cascade;
drop user perry_rr cascade
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel

Why this is happening.
Tha error is
Errors in file /opt/oracle/ora9ir2/admin/ora9dev/udump/ora9dev_ora_376976.trc:
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [qmxiUnpPacked2], [121], [], [], [], [], [], []

I cannot find anything helpful on metalink for this.

Please restart your database and then try to delete user.

Did you upgraded your database recently?

In case yes, did you ran the catpatch.sql. Its located in %ORACLE_HOME%/rdbms/admin
