Dear Friends
i have some problem.
Following is my query
1) After os is loaded , before we give username/pwd,
oradim.exe -- application error is executed .
2) After giving ok and entering into windows , oracle fails to login.
In isqlplus , its giving an error oracle not found and
Shared memory problem.
3) I tried in entering in cmd prompt , in c:\ prompt after giving sqlplus , its throwing an error saying sql.exe- application error
How to solve this problem. Whether its possible to recover the old datas , in case backup not taken.

hi,
I want to tell u that oradim is a utility to create services for database .. if there is error related to it that means your service to start database is not started so u can say that .... database is not started,,,, i think u can create new service through oradim utility ...
may be i m not correct but i hope other expert will give me as well as u better idea....
Question here is can we create new service for the oracle database if our service for running database is corrupt?
Secondly you mentioned that oradim.exe error ......Is your oradim utiliy is corrupt ?
Note:- [1] Please display the correct error message that you are getting.
[2] Please don't forget to tell us how u solve the problem for your posted question coz many people will try to answer it but if you had solved your problem then its good to post here about it.

Dear Friend
Thanks for ur mail.But my question is
i am getting an error after system is loaded and waiting for username login form.
oradim.exe error occurs if we try in cmd mode too. oradim.exe error say --- > Reference to memory with some 0x52...
if we try in entering in isqlplus , its say shared memory error
along with oracle not found.
