Installing Problem with Oracle 8i.1.7 [message #139904]

i am also unable to install the Oracle 8i.1.7 or 8i.1.6 at Windows 200 Professional and Server 2000...
The problem is that as i run the setup, system gets busy for a moment and then nothing happend (setup is not invoking)...
I can install Oracle 8i.1.5 Easily but in 8i.1.5 i am unable to find Oracle Enterprise Manager in Start Manu or i don't know how to install it with 8i.1.5

I have found that Oracle often will not install a second time and will not uninstall easily. I take a brute force approach. Especially if there is nothing of Oracle I want on a particular machine. In the 'explorer' delete the Oracle 8i DB directory and in the 'register' delete the associated 'home'.

Also, always install the new 'installer' and then use it to install the new software. Using the older installed 'installer' to load an upgrade very often does not work.

hey guys thanks 4 the responses.!
But........................
First i am not talking about the uninstalling of oracle...
as i said that i can install the oracle8i.1.5 but unable 2 install the Oracle8i.1.6 and Oracle8i.1.7....

Second that i wanna know how and where is Oracle Enterprise Manager in Oracle8i.1.5...
