0 insead of null in report output [message #138980]

hi

i am betting blank space in my report. i want 0 value in that field
i tried with nvl and report property value if null but i am not getting
give me a advice

how you'r using NVL in the report query?
This query returns the o for commission in the report output instead of NULL values.

SELECT empno, ename, job, sal, NVL(comm,0) comm, deptno
FROM emp

i am using matrix report

in that some of row column combination doesn't have the value

so i am getting blank space

instead of that i want 0 value in that cell

Open the property pallete of that cell and change the Value if Null property to 0.

Thank you for the contribution, Pakistani. As it is your maiden post, perhaps you'd be interested in reading the OraFAQ Forum Guide. In the meantime, a suggestion - check date of the previous post. In this topic, it was written more than 2 years ago and it is doubtful whether these people still need help or not. There are more recent topics which need to be answered, so - maybe you should focus on them instead.
