i cannot connect in dos using svrmgrl or svrmgrl
what can i do

Unless you are using oracle version 8i or lower, svrmgrl is depreciated. you need to login as sys as sysdba into sqlplus.

i cannot connect to the sql
because me database was shut down and i try to open it

connect as 'sys as sysdba' and default password is 'change_on_install' and if you are logged in as a osuser member of oradba group then...you can give a blank password.
then you will get sql prompt. fire 'startup' command.

hi,

If you have more than one database on your machine and if u dont set oracle_sid properly then also problem can arise

by the way you can try to connect as sys dba

sys/change_on_install as sysdba
