I had read about the undo tablespace on oracle database concepts manual. What is the purpose of undo tablespace and how can it be utilized when issuing a dml operation? An example would help. Thanks.

THe same functionality of ROLLBACK segments.
Just improved.
FUnctionsare to provide read consistency, to rollback the data if the transaction fails etc.
