I have also created ORACLE dir in /var/opt.

ORACLE_OWNER=oracle
export ORACLE_OWNER

Then at root i have run the script oratab.sh.

but during oracle installtion am getting the message that I should have the error message that I must run oratab.sh script
of change env variable to ORATAB_FAIL.

Please help me out.

Have you followed all the steps as mentioned in installation document or did you missed something?

Also, under which user, did you started the installtion process? (a shot in dark)
