Want to make a form with 2 tabs but with same item from same datablock on each form. Is this possible or do I have to have 2 copies of the item?
Thx

I believe that you cannot have the same item on two tabs, nor can you change the canvas or tab dynamically.
You can have a second copy of the item in the same block and you probably can 'synchronize' it with the other (I haven't tried it).
Alternatively, can you position the field on a static part of the canvas?
Do you want to be able to update it on either tab, or only display it on the second tab?

Thanks for replying - thinking about it again I should probably have 2 items - as they are needed for different things I guess
Making a login form with 2 tabs - one for normal user another for admin user both will need new password/retype new password fields so they will be used for the same purpose - entering the same data but never at the same time if you see what I mean - that why I though Id only need one- guess it'd be better to keep them separate

Probably a good idea. The fields aren't database fields so it doesn't matter how many copies you have defined in your control table. You just analyse them as they are used.
