when 1 :
$agentctl start
i get:

view /oracle/app/product/9.2.0/network/log/dbsnmp.nohup

Failed while initializing SNMP
Error initializing subsystems
Agent exited at Mon 15 Aug 16:13:36 2005 with return value 55
Could not start agent. Initialization failure
any ideas
???

Little trick I found.
Go to your $ORACLE_HOME/network/agent directory.
Copy all files in that directory somewhere else for backup.
Delete all the *.q files and the services.ora file (honestly just remove them!!)
Now from the command line run agentctl start and see how it goes..
Get back to me if that doesn't work, there are loads of little hints for em and the intelligent agent (so badly named!!!)
