HI All,

Can anyone tell me what is the difference between the Database in restricted mode and in read only.If the answer is to do some performance test then why there are two modes...
In that case i guess we shud use DB in restricted mode since we can switch from open DB to restricted mode by alter system enable restricted session..and shud not use DB in read only because in that case we have to start the DB which can be a problem in production environment...
