i have an export file which is in 8.1.7.0.1 and is trying to import into another database using 8.1.7.0.1 client . The exported file we got from onsite and they tried importing it there and it worked. Indicates the file is not corrupt from their end. Here we are not able to import it . The error we get is

1.)Imp-00010 not a valid export file, header failed verification

We transferred the file using ftp binary and ascii . But it is showing this error.

Please help me with some solution...

FTP should be done in binary mode.
SOmehow the file may be corrupted.
Or Try SCP or some other means to transfer the files.

It was due to file corruption while transferring.I transferred the file once again and it worked..
