Hi All,

I was very new oracle.
Kindly let me know the utilities which we can use for backup the databases in Oracle(incuding third party utilities)
i have installed Oracle server, but oracle management server doesn't got installed, as while taking the backup using Oracle Enterprise Manager , it gives an error message that " this wizard can only be launched when the the application is connected to Oracle management server, kindly guide me how can i move further ......

RMAN is oracle provided tool for backup.
To perform backups from OEM, you need to install OMS ( oracle Management server).
Look into documentation for Oralce Enterprise Manager.
