Hello
I am right now pursuing the Developer track. I am a non engineering non science graduate. But I am really interested in programming so I started learning this. Could someone tell me what are the oppurtunities for a person like me with my background?

Hi,
They say that this field (IT) , whatever the technology you follow, Database, Embedded, Application Development all is meant for Engineering graduates only. It is bitter but that is the truth.
But still there are oppurtunities.

Nirmal

Hi,
You can do a post graduation in computers (MCA, MSC(comp))
etc., if you have maths as a subject in your graduation.
This way you can step into IT field.
All the best

Hi,
More than luck ,good planning is important, if u don't have experience, get fake experience, fake salary slips, fake projects, u will get the job.
Most of the people who tell the truth are always out of the fence, like me.

Aparna ,
Only the first break that matters. once u r in the market then u can grow very easily, jst u need is a break. So pursue ur course by heart and dig into the technology properly.
Then as Nirmal suggested do some planning and try to get an entry into a small company cos big companies verify ur previous employer and everything. Once u got that no one can stop u further. U can pursue MCA / MSc if u wish cos good in monetary terms.
regards,
tarun
