Hi,
We use oracle 9.2 on RHL. We decided to take a snapshot for analysing the performance of the system. We ran the statspack and it went thrrough fine. We took a snapshot and that during that process we found many of the tables to be locked. But once we stopped the process of taking snapshots, the locks were found to b released.
All i want to know is does the process of taking a snapshot has any influence on locking of objects in the schema.
