I installed Oracle 8i
it works fine until i restart the system.
Once i restart the computer and try to connect to the database
the error displayed is Oracle Not found.

The SID is orcl
The state of the oracle service orcl is starting instead of started.

The operating system is Microsoft XP.

Check you database's ALERT.LOG file for errors (located in the DB's BDUMP directory).
