Unable to create an Oracle10g database from scripts why?
I am sourcing the environment thus:-
export ORACLE_SID=ALTODB - new database to create
export ORACLE_HOME=/u01/app/oracle/product/10.1.0/Db_1
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$ORACLE_HOME/lib
export PATH=$ORACLE_HOME/bin

Then from the same session and as oracle do following:-

sqlplus /nolog
connect /as sysdba
@altodb_cr.sql -- see this script below.

Errors stream on the screen as scripts is executed and no database is created.

---scripts below
[oracle@linuxcp16017 admin]$ more altodb_cr.sql
--execute as sysdba

Ok, a couple of notes here:
- Don't report messsages to get attention.
- Don't wild post. What does your reply have to do with the original topic?
- Read the sticky at the newbie forum instead.

Topic split and moved.
