Hi,

I am working on oracle 10g My redologfile is of 10M and there is nearly 20 log switch in 24 hour ... can any one tell me should i increase the size of redo logfiles ....

Note:- Uptill now i did'nt got any complain from the user and database is running fine.

If nobody is complaining, why bother changing anything ?

Rule of thumb for log switches is more than once every 15 to 20 minutes and you MAY be affecting the performance of the database.

If you're seeing log switches once a minute, you need to fix it, if you're seeing switches once an hour, don't bother.
