Hi All,
Is there any way to know whether the database transactions are entered using forms(any GUI) or using SQL*PLUS or TOAD?
Anyone has idea about this?
Thanks in Advance
Sandy

Thanks for the response,
Is it possible to store the value of the application(FORMS or TOAD) in the database for the corresponding transaction?
Thanks
Sandy

If you are storing the session number and userid, then there is little extra work to store the 'program'. You can store anything you like in your own table, but I assume you mean 'can Oracle store a history of the transactions'. This is a question you could raise in the DBA forum. Also have a look at the audit facilities of Oracle.
Go to http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/index.html. Press 'Search', enter 'audit' and see what comes back. Try a manual with audit in the title.
