Hi,

I have installed Oracle 9iAS Release 1(v1.0.2.2.2) on Redhat Enterprise Advanced Linux server 3.0 and when I try to start http server, I am getting the following error:

error while loading shared libraries: libdb.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
/public/server/apps/9ias-home/product/Apache/Apache/bin/apachectl startssl: httpd could not be started
ERROR: Oracle9iAS startup not successful. Return code = 3

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!!

find libdb.so somewhere under the appropriate ORACLE_HOME. Make sure that directory is in the library path for the environment used to start apachectl. The name of the lib path variable changes between O/S and even between 32/64 bit flavours.
