Hi,
Could I have information on the parameters that need to be changed to improve the performance of a Database.
Are there any books or specific documents that give information in this regard.
Any information would be of immense help.

Just add the following line to your init.ora and everything will run super duper fast:
vroom_vroom = true
Just kidding...
there is no such parameter. Best to read things like the oracle concepts guide, and understand your system, and then use that understanding to improve performance.
