Hi,
I am at presnt working on GIS validation project. I just want to know about Oracle Spatial - in a general sense.I have a working knowledge of Pl/sql and RDBMS concepts.
Specifically I want to know:
1) What's Oracle spatial?
2) What's spatial data?
3) How's spatial feature of Oracle used to develop GIS applications?
4) What are spatial operators? How are they different from standard Oracle operators?
It will be great if anyone of you can give me some general info on this or some link where I can get some general introduction to Oracle spatial..white papers etc..

Hi,
A good place to start is the Oracle documentation. Start by reading the Spatial User's Guide and Reference. Most of your questions are addressed in chapter 1. When done, let us know if you still have issues.
