Hello All,
I have a question in regards to Prioritize sessions. For ex: We have 9i database and i want to setup priority for users who are connecting, Let say

Priority1) users from business group
Priority2) Report developers
Priority3) developers

Any one know of any ideas, please share.

Hi,

You can assign different priorities to different users using Oracle's Resource Manager (DBMS_RESOURCE_MANAGER). The Oracle Enterprise Manager GUI has a nice interface that simplifies the setup and administration of Resource Manager Plans and Consumer Groups.

For more info, read the chapter about "Using the Database Resource Manager" in the Database Administrator's Guide.

Thanks frank. Can i create a consumer groups in Enterprise manager and mover Users in those groups? Thanks for your help
