Hello,
Just an Oracle9i license query, i installed Oracle9i Enterprise Edition followed by the 9.2.0.6 patchset. I installed the partitioning option and i've been told that the partitioning option is an extra chargeable option, is this true? If so i'll remove it (we don't use it anyway). Also is OLAP and Oracle Data Mining chargeable options or are these included in our Enterprise Edition license?

oracle-mp20p> sqlplus '/ as sysdba'

I may be mistaken, but I thought partitioning was not extra, as long as you had enterprise edition it was part of that. But olap and data mining were. But, oracle should document this stuff pretty clearly, have you checked? And whoever sold you your license should be happy to explain it to you also.

Hello smartin, thanks very much for your reply. I have our license details but on it it just shows Oracle9i Enterprise Edition (i think i'll contact the people where we got the license from). Plus i'll look at Metalink.
Thanks again.
