how to arrange fields in my text output [message #116059]

hi,

im generating a txt file. my problem is how to arrange
the output of my txt file. attached is a sample output i want to make.

my problm now is how to position the (txt)fields (ie SSn, Bdate, Lname, etc..).like in C we can use gotoxy to position these fields. how can we do this in oracle? this there a reserved word like gotoxy?

pls help...

Write it in SQL*Plus using the column facility.

This is not a Forms question.

Okay ... use 'rpad' on character fields to get the width and 'to_char' with a full width format on numeric fields.
