hi,
i am getting an error message while compiling as older version form 5.0 with newer version forms 6i. error message is :
FRM-30041 : Position of item places it off of canvas
Item : code_socie
Block : socie
Form : ge_socie

FRM-30085 : Unable to adjust form for output.

can anyone help me to get out of this kind of problem ?

Open form 'ge_socie', go to block 'socie', find item 'code_socie'. [Alternatively type 'code_socie' into the 'Find' slot at the top of the Object navigator.] On the properties sheet determine on which canvas it is displayed. If the item is not on a canvas try setting displayed to 'false'.

If there is a canvas, open it, go to the toolbar and drop-down the View list. Make sure that both 'show view' and 'show canvas' are active. If the view and canvas are too small - stretch them.

Check the Canvas size on which your item resides.
e.g:
If Canvas size is
width = 300, height = 400

your item size:
width = 30
x-pos = 280

In this case you item goes out of your canvas and hence this error occurs.
Same applies to the y-position of the item.

So check this one. If your item resides within the range of your Canvsas's height and width. This will resolve the issue.
