When using IE 6.0, users can logon, browse all pages, edit existing content, but NOT ADD CONTENT. Users receive a Page Not Found error when adding content (pls/portal/PORTAL.wwv_add_wizard.edititem).
We have O9iAS installed on a single Windows 2000 Advanced Server SP4. Portal, SSO, OID, WebCache, and Infrastructure only (not Reports or Forms).
We applied the default SSL certificate using Oracle Metalink Notes.
I tested all the browsers I have on 2 O9iAS servers. Both servers are standalone with WebCache, Portal, SSO, OID, and Infrastructure. Server1 has a working installation of O9iAS. Server2 is has the SSL issue.
My PC has Windows 2000 SP4.
For each server in each browser, I performed these steps:
1-Logon as Portal
2-Edit Root page of Corporate Pages pagegroup
3-Add Simple URL item to upper left region http://www.oracle.com
Here are the results:
Server1
works-Mozilla FireFox 1.0
works-Opera 7.23
works-Netscape Communicator 4.78
works-Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0
works-Mozilla 1.6
Server2
works-Mozilla FireFox 1.0
fails-Opera 7.23
--unable to visit https: - Secure connection: fatal error (47). --able to visit http:
fails-Netscape Communicator 4.78
--unable to login - clicking Login link directs back to portal.home
fails-Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0
--unable to add item - Page not found (404)
works-Mozilla 1.6
So far, we have;
-verified Firewall rules are correct
-verified OS hardening is not an issue
-reinstalled O9iAS
-added "SetEnvIf User-Agent ".*MSIE.*" ssl-unclean-shutdown" to all httpd.conf files
-set KeepAlive off
Nothing seems to resolve the problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
TIA...
