Hi,

Does anyone know how to change the location of oratab on Solaris from /var/opt/oracle to another area??.....so that programs such as . oraenv look at the new oratab location.

Hi,

It cannot be changed. Oracle will always look for oratab in /etc or /var/opt/oracle.

If you want to store it in a different directory, consider creating a symlink.
