i am a system administrator.
in my server we are running oracle 8i unfortunately previously employees had given the connection string as dcsedb.cs2k1.annauniv.edu. but i want to shortend it for easy rememberence.
how to give a alias name for the host string.

dcsedb-database name
cs2k1.annauniv.edu - computer name.
