When I tried to log in to Oracle ,I got the message:
Error:ORA-01034 : Oracle not available.
Last time when I logged in ,I happened to delete control01.ctl file. I would like to know whether this is the reason why I get the error message.
Please help me with some advice how to meet this problem.
Has the Personal oracle 8i in my system got corrupted?

u need to reinstall againthe oracle
