l leaned[sp]accouningto the reference book, while in these books ,they give only very simple examples, there are many place I hade to try by myself,For example, they said the initial file's name should like init<SID>.ora, while I use DCA to build some database, the real name is like init<SID>,ora."number".What's the means of that "number"HCould you tell me?

And I tried to build a new datadase manually, so I build a new document "test" [sp]under the "admin", and then build a document named "pfile" under the new document, then I builde a file named "inittest.ora" in the "pfile",After that, I copy the content[sp]of [sp]the init file which build by DCA to my "inittest.ora",then I change the parameters in the file, such as the SID and control files' adderss. I described so clearly because I am not sure what I did is right?

then I use the commands: sqlplus/nolog

[sp][sp][sp][sp][sp][sp][sp][sp][sp][sp][sp][sp][sp][sp][sp][sp][sp][sp][sp][sp][sp][sp][sp][sp][sp][sp][sp][sp][sp][sp][sp][sp][sp][sp][sp][sp][sp][sp]connect/ as sysdba

and the sqlplus showed that "connected to an idle instance"

then I use the command : startup nomount pfile=c:oracleadmintextipfile
inittest.ora

and the two errors occured. Can you help me ?I am new student of oracle,I need you help.
